Introducing Mighty Android Screenshots, Screen Capture, Screen Cast

Android is great. But… There’s alway a room for improvement. And we at Mighty Pocket found our way to put 5 cents on making the world a better place.

Being an Android owner you might have noticed that taking screenshots of your handset is not an easy job. Either you have to “root” your device for onboard app or make tons of clicks using standard SDK tool.

Since we are always glad to here back, especially during mobile apps development, we find it highly encouraging for people to talk when they see pictures and action. Pictures of action are also encouraging, but that’s a completely different story. Speaking of pictures, we have been missing a good screenshoting tool for Android until we invented revolutionary decided to fill the gap ourselves.

Please welcome Android Screenshots and Screen Capture, code-name Ashot.

As soon as you get Ashot up and running on your desktop or laptop, it automatically connects with Android device and starts showing exactly what you see on your mobile screen. Bingo! Though the frame rate is far from ideal, we don’t expect anyone to watch movies in such a setting.

Some of the features:

  • Save screenshots as PNG
  • Full Screen mode
  • Zoom in / Zoom out
  • Rotation
  • Auto Capture to a specific folder

More details available at Android Screen Capture product page.

hey, would like to get ashot working on Mountain lion on Mac – get message “disconnected” and “connect to handset” is greyed out. Is there a work around (an easy one) would be great to use your app!

    Cheers,
    Chris

I’m also using Mountain Lion and it won’t connect.

I’m able to make screen shots with Monitor from the SDK.

I’m using: /Users//Android ADT/adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20131030/sdk for the sdk path.
